About the Author:

chris-jordanChristopher Joshua River Jordan:

I grew up in a little house on the Canadian prairies in Rouleau, Saskatchewan – home of the fictional town of “Dog River” from Corner Gas. I graduated from high school in June of 1990.

Although I first became a Christian in August of 1989, it wasn’t until September of 1990 that I radically committed my life to Jesus Christ. For the next year, I attended Solid Rock Ministries in Regina, a powerful little church pastored by Erwin Dyck and Dave Koop. In January of 1992, I attended Christ for the Nations Bible College in Surrey, BC. After only a year and a half of Bible College, I started interning at Victory Christian Centre (now Relate Church), where I served as the youth pastor for four years. Two of those years were also spent as a prayer minister working for KCM Ministries.

In March of 1995, I married my best friend, Liza Woods. In January of 1997, I enrolled in Pacific Life Bible College (PLBC), and came on staff at Bible Fellowship Church. For the next ten years, I served that local church as youth pastor and Christian Education Director. During that time, I was the chapel speaker for the primary students at Regent Christian Academy (RCA). I also taught several Bible classes at RCA, and filled in as a substitute teacher for many other subjects as well.

In May of 1999, I graduated from PLBC with a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Leadership. After graduation, I taught Bible Research and Hermeneutics as an adjunct professor at Pacific Life for the next eight years. In September of 2006, Liza and I pioneered the Revolution Master’s Commission (RMC) discipleship program at Bible Fellowship.

Beausejour Community ChurchTwo months later, Liza and I received the call from the Lord to pastor Beausejour Community Church. Because we had just started the RMC program at Bible Fellowship, I felt we needed to complete the first year of this discipleship school before moving to Beausejour. So in January of 2007, I was installed as the lead pastor of BCC and started travelling back and forth between BC and Manitoba. In July of 2007, Liza and I moved to Beausejour with our four children: Caleb, Tori, Austin & Hannah.

I  have a passion to teach and preach God’s Word. I published my first book, “Supernatural: Contending for Signs and Wonders Today” in June 2010. My second book, “The Beausejour Pulpit” was released on Feb. 1, 2012. I am currently working on a youth fantasy fiction novel called “The Voyagers: Mutiny on the Fellowship.” I have also written numerous mini-booklets and devotionals. I currently serve as the President and Executive Director of the Overcomers Outreach of Canada 12 step recovery ministry.

I served at Beausejour Community Church for almost ten years until September of 2016, when I moved our family back to Surrey, BC to take a position as a guidance counsellor and high school teacher at Regent Christian Academy. In September of 2017, I will be expanding my role at RCA and serve as the full time Christian Perspectives Bible teacher.

I love living life to the fullest, and enjoy a good cup of coffee. Thanks for stopping by!

Someone in my congregation found this – probably while Googling! Good to see the family name associated with Jesus lovers! Love your passion for the Word! We are pastoring a church in an East Cincinnati suburb called Mariemont. http://www.mariemontchurch.org – be blessed, Denis and Marianne Beausejour

      Pastor Beausejour,
That is so cool to hear that there is a pastor with the name of our little town on the prairies in Canada… May the Lord Jesus richly bless you, your family, and your church as you serve the Lord…

I stumbled on your blog through WordPress Reader. Had to have a look when I saw “Beausejour”!
I’m from Portage la Prairie and have been blogging for the past year. I’ve spoken at the Christian Women’s Club in Beausejour several times …. nice little town! May God bless and use you in your ministry, Chris.

Thank you Pastor Chris for joining up with us we appreciate you doing so and look forward to sharing with you.

Through your messages God has spoken to my heart and so I feel encouraged and uplifted, Ron has not had an opportunity to read them yet but will when he is able to, I often share with him about those I meet Blogging and value his input, we have problems to sort out but seek The Lord to do so, I believe without Him there is no Hope, just a hopeless end.

Thank you again – Christian Love from both of us – Anne.

  6. i forgot a third question. how do you get your blog posts to show up the way you did, with a short description and pic? mine are showing up with just the title, which i’m assuming is a wordpress default. do you have the time to help me?

    • Chris Jordan says:

In regards to the layout of the blog posts on your site, from your dashboard, click on “Settings” then “Reading” and then just adjust the options as you see fit. Blessings!

  7. i do have a question. well, two really. i love that you have a pic on every single page. will you please share your knowledge? where do you find them, and how do you post them? i’m truly interested. God says to do what you do with excellence, and you do. are you willing to help a total newbie but devout believer to make an excellent blog?

    • Chris Jordan says:

      Kari,
In regards to the photos, you can either upload your own from your computer, or you can find them by going to yahoo or google and searching their images there. There are many free pics that you can download and use on your site. When you are creating a new post on your blog, click on “Upload/Insert” then you can take a photo from your computer and insert it into your post. Hope that answers your questions – if you have any more, let me know! Blessings to you as you blog for the Lord…
