For the past year and a half, I have enjoyed writing and posting (almost) daily devotionals from God’s Word, to encourage, inspire and challenge my readers in their faith. This marks my 500th post on The Beausejour Pulpit blog (insert fanfare here!). As of today (Aug. 1, 2013), this blog has had 61,895 views, and has 253 followers (not including 180 Twitter followers who receive updates as well, whether they want to or not!).
I’m going to be taking a break for the month of August, and thinking and praying about what’s next. I have another major writing project on the go – a youth fantasy novel that I have had the idea for (for about 14 years now!), but only recently started writing the manuscript. So far, I have written the first draft of 17 of the approximately 21 chapters, and would love to see the first draft finished this summer. The working title for this story is: “The Voyagers: Mutiny on the Fellowship.”
In the meantime, I encourage you to check out my other blog New Life for regular personal updates, sermon notes, and weekly Calvin & Hobbes comic strips. Also, to those of you who are dropping by the site for the first time, I encourage you to check out my top 10 posts below. Add your comments, follow the blog, and when I start writing again, you’ll be the first to know!
